This review just came in from Vianna Renaud of TCM Reviews:
Appropriately entitled Dealing With Divas, this latest book from author Shelley Anderson will let you know everything you need to know about the wonderful world of celebrity personal assistants. Aimed for those who are either already in the field or thinking about entering the business Ms. Anderson draws upon her extensive experience to showcase her unique L. A. R. K. method. Through this method one will learn how to not only survive in this profession but to actually thrive and become a success within this hectic 24/7 work environment. With the focus to help one navigate the sometimes tricky and challenging profession this resource is filled with helpful tips funny true stories and personal reflections regarding best practice.
I found this book to be as entertaining as it was educational. Just the right length with an extremely logical approach, I found this book impossible to put down. I particularly enjoyed the common sense highlighted by the L.A.R.K. approach which I feel could help inspire professionals from all backgrounds. As the former President of the Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants (ACPA), Ms. Anderson definitely knows her stuff which clearly showed in the Question and Answer section of the book. Not only is she ferociously witty and a pleasure to read, she is supportive and offers realistic advice which perfectly models her L.A.R.K. approach.
